Winter at OrgaNick Pastures
During Wisconsin winters, there are days where the hens only want to go outside in the early afternoon when they can soak up the sun. Their organic feed is supplemented with bales of hay. On occasion, the flock will take advantage of the trails we carve through the snowy pasture to bask in the sun and graze on hay bales.
Our authenticity and transparency are the two reasons our organic, pasture-raised eggs have become Wisconsin's Favorite Eggs. With that in mind, we would like to acknowledge the difficulties of winters for our hens; but when the sun gives us opportunities to get outside, we take advantage of it.
